The short version: StackRivals is reader-supported. Some of the links to software vendors on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and later buy a subscription, the vendor may pay us a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.

Where these links appear

Affiliate links are the buttons and outbound vendor links on our comparison pages. They are marked with rel="nofollow sponsored" and routed through our own /go/ redirect so we can measure which pages actually help readers. Not every vendor we write about has an affiliate programme, and we cover several that pay us nothing.

What it changes

It funds the research. That is the whole of it. Commission rates are not a scoring input, we do not sell placements, and no vendor reviews our pages before publication or has any right to alter a verdict. When the better product for a given industry is the one that pays us less — or nothing — that is what the page says.

The honest caveat: an affiliate model still creates an incentive to write about products with programmes, so read our methodology and judge the reasoning on each page for yourself.

FTC and advertising standards

This disclosure is provided in line with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials. A disclosure also appears near the top of every comparison page, before any affiliate link, so you are never asked to click one without knowing.
