StackRivals

Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 July 2026

The short version: StackRivals does not run analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking cookies of its own. We have no login, no newsletter, and no forms. We do not know who you are and we are not trying to find out. The one thing you should know is what happens when you click through to a vendor — that is covered below.

What we collect

Nothing, directly. Every page on this site is pre-rendered static HTML. There is no analytics script, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no heatmap tool, and no cookie set by us.

Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically records standard server logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp — as any web server does. We do not query, export, or analyse those logs, and we cannot link them to a person. See Vercel’s privacy policy for how they handle that data.

What happens when you click a vendor link

This is the part that actually involves your data. Vendor buttons on our comparison pages route through our own /go/redirect and then send you to the vendor’s site. Two things happen at that moment:

  • We append a tracking parameter. The outbound URL carries a tag identifying which page you came from — for example, utm_content=semrush-vs-mangools-for-saas. It identifies the page, never you. We use it to see which comparisons readers actually find useful.
  • The vendor may set a cookie. For affiliate links, the vendor drops a cookie on your browser so that if you buy later, they know the referral came from us. Cookie lifetimes are set by the vendor and commonly run from 30 to 180 days. This cookie belongs to the vendor, not to us — we cannot read it and it is governed by their privacy policy, not this one.

If you would rather not carry a referral cookie, do not use our vendor buttons — search for the product directly instead. Nothing on this site is gated behind clicking one. See our affiliate disclosure for how the commercial side works.

Vendors we do not have a relationship with

Some products we compare have no affiliate programme, or one we have not joined. Those links are plain outbound links with no tracking parameter and no referral cookie from us.

Children

This site covers business software purchasing and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.

Your rights

Access, correction, deletion, and portability rights under regulations such as the GDPR and CCPA apply to personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to return or erase. If you want data held by a vendor you reached through us, you will need to contact that vendor directly.

Changes

If we ever add analytics or any other form of tracking, we will update this page and change the date at the top before it goes live — not after.
